Martin Eberhardt is a chartered accountant, with significant experience working for a number of large accounting firms before moving into industry where he held a number of FD and CFO roles. Most recently, Martin was involved in two property-based businesses, including i2, a leading UK based serviced office business where he was the finance director, as well as his own residential property company. Martin is fluent in English and German.
Nicholas Holmes joined the family business, Robert Holmes & Co, full time recently to maintain service excellence in the age of technology. Customer expectations now includes device-driven communications and Nick is driving this forward to maintain current clientele and expand the company’s client base. He provides family succession together with the two existing directors. Nick has always focused on building client relationships and sales. He has an entrepreneurial spirit, proven by the building up of his own art gallery in Chelsea, where he had a loyal following of customers and artists.
Arno Sardelic is an expert within the commercial mining sector and a senior director within the financial markets. A graduate of the University of Vienna, he began his career as Sales Manager with Roger Feger Handels GmbH. Arno then moved on to consult for Nevada Mining in Sierra Leone, before working as Senior Bond Options Broker at ICAP in London where in 1999, he founded CityQuote.com, a provider of Financial Internet Applications. Two years later, he became Chief Marketing Officer and Director of Bluebull AG in Switzerland.
From 2002 until 2009, Arno was CEO of Massard Capital Asset Management AG. In 2010, he became Head of Private Clients at IMB Vermögensvenswaltung promoting structured investment products. Arno has also been a Non-Executive Director of Aurora Precious Metals since 2012 and is a Director of Hetan Technologies S.A. and JH Group AG as well as Holmes Investment Properties Plc.
James Holmes is an entrepreneur with a wide spectrum of experience and knowledge across several sectors, including finance, politics and investment. He built the first China focused education investment company as CEO, during which time the investment portfolio grew by 130% and net assets by £5.5m. James then became CEO of a financial services business and during his tenure, client numbers grew by 69,000, assets under administration by c.£1bn and seven new offices were opened, growing the team to 150.
James has since built his own investment company, guiding four of the businesses towards listings, and his portfolio is now valued at c.€40m after four years. James serves as Chairman of the Governors of a London College and he has previously served as Honorary Chancellor of a Chinese College and Honorary President of another College. The roles were in recognition of his work on attracting overseas investment into education, using a route which eventually led to over $1bn being invested.
Michael Simmonds is an ex-British Army Soldier, having served five years with the Royal Corps of Signals as a Systems Engineer, and leaving with the rank of Corporal. Michael has spent the last 14 years in the finance industry. In 2004, he started as a mortgage adviser and has since developed expertise in the property finance sector, namely commercial, development and structured finance. Michael holds several Executive and Board Roles across multiple sectors and brings a strong and disciplined work ethic to the Company.
Grant Wright is a leisure Chief Executive with excellent relationship and entrepreneurial skills. With 25 years’ experience in the leisure sector, he has proven skills in creating high performance teams that develop new ideas and methods that drive revenue and profit. Grant has strong analytical skills and business understanding gives a rounded, commercial leader.
Grant was a senior director at David Lloyd Leisure between 2000 and 2007, where his roles included Operations, Sales and Marketing and International Ventures. In his time at David Lloyd Leisure, he almost doubled the number of venues, doubled the Return on Capital Employed and vastly increased satisfaction rates. In 2008, Grant became Chief Executive of World of Golf, turning around a business that had ceased growing. Under Grant’s tenure, the Return on Capital employed has doubled.
Grant is also the part-time CEO of NMGC Ltd, a golf and leisure company; owns World of Golf, Croydon; is a director of Adventure Experience, an outdoor leisure company; a non-exec director of Running Unlimited, a provider to the health and fitness sector; and a Trustee of Moray Sports Centre.
Jonathan Sutton is a Chartered Surveyor with 30 years’ experience in the UK retail, licensed/leisure, hotel, student housing and BTR sectors. Over the course of his career, he has undertaken projects in occupational, leasing, development and investment work.
Whilst based in Edinburgh, Jonathan has worked in the UK and Ireland for both retailers and in private practice, establishing Lewis Sutton Property Consultants in 2013. In addition to running Lewis Sutton, Jonathan also holds other real estate linked executive positions within his respective spheres of expertise.
